Background Achievements

- Son of Football coach and former National referee P Surendran, Fimis has grown up in a football loving family in his hometown of Kambil in Kannur and has built a passion for the game right from a young age.
- His mother working as a house-wife and his elder sister is currently pursuing an MBBS degree at one of the state’s top medical colleges.
- Asked about what he wanted to be, if not a football player, Fimis very proudly said he wanted to be in the army.
- When asked about their footballing idols, most of the kids at the residential center answered either Lionel Messi, Neymar or Cristiano Ronaldo. But Fimis turned out to be quite unique, picking out Eden Hazard as his hero, with Chelsea being his favourite club.

- Part of the SEPT team who are currently State Champions in the Subroto Cup and will compete in the National Championships in September.
- Among the 20 kids training at the Kambil SEPT center, Fimis became the only player to be selected to the Elite Center at Ferook College, Calicut.
- Fimis largely plays on the left side of midfield, being one of the few left-footers in the team. His precise crosses and through-balls are a joy to watch.
- Fimis’ brilliant performances and goals were key in his team’s success at various tournaments such as the Vypin Tournament and the Ramco Cup.
