Background Achievements

    • Anu Afnan and his family comes from the small town of Peruvayal in Kozhikode district.
    • His father Hamsa works in Oman as a driver, whose income is the only means of support for his mother and his two siblings.
    • Anu Afnan's mother is Amina, who is a house-wife while his elder brother is Abdul Wasid (19) and his sister is Baija (16).


      Anu Afnan considers Lionel Messi to be his idol and says that is the reason he likes playing on the right side of the field.

    • Part of the SEPT team who are currently State Champions in the Subroto Cup and will compete in the National Championships in September.
    • The only player to be selected for the Residential Program, out of the 30 kids at the Peruvayal SEPT center.
    • Consistent goal scorer, despite playing mostly on the wings. Has scored goals in multiple Zonal Fests and SEPT Fests.
    • Part of the St.Xavier's School Football Team in Peruvayal.
